On right side of throat only. Had it on 3 occasions each time for about 3-4 months.
Had the tube down nose a couple of times - nothing sinister looking. Had MRI last year nothing sinister found there either. Thought that was it.
It came back about 6 weeks ago (no pain) just a constant feeling of lump in right side interior of throat/neck area.
The thing that seems different from most is that mine is only ever on the right hand side!!

First of all sorry to hear you've got this horrible thing back, but YES I have exactly the same issue.
It all appears to be on the right hand side of my throat. I've had 2 endoscopies, chest x ray and
ultra sound and nothing has been found......this began after I had 2 wisdom teeth removed
coincidentally???? on the right hand side of my mouth.......I have had it now since November but
really badly since about the end of December......a specialist I saw in Spain told me it could take
months to go away and the Dr. in England said she thought it would go away on it's own, so far
it hasn't..........although I am not so panic stricken as I was. Eating helps but at this rate I will be
the size of a house!
Sorry, didn't answer your question, if I have been diagnosed correctly then I would say yes it is globus.

Dear Deborah, I can also confirm that I have a similar problem. It started in September last year (2013). I was eating at the time, and suddenly, it felt like I had twisted a ligament or muscle or tendon or something on the right side of the my throat, near my voice box. The pain persisted constantly for about 2 months, including when I ate or drank. At the time, the GP prescribed my antibiotics 'in case' (he said) an infection developed. I was in real discomfort. After approx. 2 months the pain subsided. Then in January, whilst drinking coffee, the symptom suddenly returned. I was drinking coffee at the time. Once again, I was in considerable pain and discomfort. Constantly. Nothing helped. Very distressing and very miserable. Eventually, the GP referred me to an ENT specialist. I attended there today. The pain actually subsided about 2 - 3 weeks, after 2 months of pain. Today, I had the camera placed up my nose and down my throat. No abnormalities found. I have been told that its this Globus Pharyngeus condition. Of course, I am dreading it returning (which I think it will at some point). Its very miserable. I do empathise with you!! I wish I knew of something that could help. Best wishes!
