does this sound like lymphoma?

i've had a swollen lymph node on the side of my neck for a while now. it is completely painless, hard and moveable. i don't think it changed size.

i have no other symptoms of lymphoma, but the side of my neck where the node is hurts, as if i had a trapped nerve, and it also hurts in my throat. i had no infection or sickness, but my period is supposed to start soon, and i heard lymph glands can swell during that time. has anyone had anything like this?

lymph glands can swell up on the side of the neck when someone is fighting  an infection .  Maybe you're not aware that you have some kind of little infection going on. I would suggest visiting your doctor just to have it looked at and tell your doctor that it hurts in your throat. He or she can examine you .  But this does not sound like lymphoma at all.

but get checked out anyway just to have peace of mind

The easiest and smartest thing to do is see a ENT head and neck specialist. Yes nodes can get infected. But you are saying it is swollen and not painful. It can be a salivary gland so it is wise to check it, salivary stones hapoen, make a block and swell. All is fixable  and treatable rather then sit and worry about it anymore. The web jumps to scary stuff. But it is ok to check it out, they will know very fast.

in the interim you can use those gel oacks that you can microvae and heat up. And use warm compress soaks on that goand about ten minutes twice day. Whatever is in there might just drain on its own from the warmth that way too.

Sounds like a salivary gland.

seeing a doctor is currently impossible, as i see one once every month and they are supposed to call me at the end of summer to schedule one. plus, my parents don't want to take me to the doctor just for this and since i don't have a gp, it will take me months until i get one. as i don't have any other symptoms and that it's moveable and not growing, i am less convinced than before that it's something dangerous

update:

my lymph gland is slightly smaller, but the one in the same place on the other side of my neck is starting to swell, it feels like the other one, and i am terrified. i'm scared that the "lymphoma is spreading, and it's making me very anxious.

Lymphoma has other symptoms that you would've had it by now. Just the fact that you have the notes on the side of the neck slightly enlarged does not mean that you have that condition.  Lymphoma includes high fever, sweats, weight loss, dripping sweat while sleepingto the point where your pillow and sheets are soaked.  And others .

99.9% of the time when you have swollen nodes on the sides of the neck it's due to some minor infection.

try and relax. There are some great meditation and you can listen to on YouTube that completely relax you and your mind.

search for guided meditation worry less about health. Lay down and listen

many others on YouTube you can search for related to anxiety, worry and fear, just about anything you would like. Do these every day a couple times a day.

don't feel the lymph nodes constantly because then you might not notice when they go down. Wait a few days and then you'll see a difference. Hang in there you'll be fine!

you may have a cyst there which may go away on it's own in time. Keep an eye on it and seek medical advice. or it may be a swollen lymph gland due to an infection which is the other possibility.

If you are worried I would seek advice soon.
