Hi,
Do any of you experience blurred vision during the day whilst you're on medication? It doesn't have to be continuous. I've noticed more so mid morning when I'm looking at something for any length of time. Like in my IPad or reading then when I look up everything is double vision. I've already had my 2yr eye check up and everything is fine except I need an increase on my lens.
Ive only noticed this since I've been on my medication. When I wasn't on these, and my TN was in remission, I never got blurred vision.
What do you think?
Gloriana
I did but it temporary and driving was awful
Hi Gloriana,
no, never had this particular one. Its a curious thing.
sorry, i posted that last one before i was ready. The Lyrica gives me a horrible hand twitch. I was going to say, is it both eyes or just one?
Hi,
Do you often get it? Or find something else set it off?
Hi, I've just looked on the leaflet and one of the Side effects is blurred vision, double Vision, even Vertigo ŵhich I had for about 4 weeks but as eased off now.
Its so annoying and I never realised it's got some things that I've experienced, or are experiencing, more or less. Such as memory impairment, difficulty finding words, and one other I've noticed is the 10seconds delay say in responding because you have to take in what's just been said. It makes me feel really thick and stupid. I'll be glad when I'm off these tablets.
Hi,
I know I've only just started out on my medication, but over the past couple of days since starting it my eyes have sometimes gone blurry every now and again.
It's quite strange since they've never done that before unless I'm tired, since this is happening even when I'm not tired.
Hi, I've read through the leaflet some more and noticed one side effect was muscle twitching. Do you get it often?
Hi,
At first I thought it was my eyes. With using my IPad and reading a lot I just assumed that was causing it.
To think of all the medication I've been on I've never had blurred vision.
Oh well nothing we can do about it. I think I will stay off my iPad and reading just to see if it clears.😕
I hope it will clear up for you! Mine are going blurry at random times so it's quite strange, but maybe giving them a rest will help.
I'm almost always looking at a computer screen (since I'm a computing student) though I try to rest them also and it sometimes helps to stop them.
I know that blurred vision is a side-effect of my meds, and I've seen that it's the same for you, so I hope it will go away sometime!
Thank you.
It doesn't seem too bad now since I've rested them from typing etc. so we'll see.
I'm glad I'm not alone with this.
Good luck with your computing. I hope you don't have too much trouble with yours.
I'm glad it got a bit better after resting.
And thank you! Revising for exams is slightly hard with blurry eyes but I'm getting there.
We just have to bear with it unfortunately, maybe it'll go away on it's own.
Hi,
If you are taking Lyrica, I cannot reply as I only took it once and it did not work plus left me with side effects. I am still in remission after two "Gamma Knife" (radiation treatments).
There is no one way out of this disease and what works for me, may, or may not, not work for you.
Occassionally I have experienced some blurred vision. I think the Lyrica may contribute to this.
Yeah me too but it settled down after a couple of months.
My TN is kicking off again today after a 3 week reprieve. Uggggghhh.
yes, i get the twitching every day, mostly since i went from 250mg to 300mg so i am seeing if i can drop back down now. Main hassle with the twitching is i have to pick up cups and glasses with both hands to be sure i wont drop them and occasionally i will flick something across the room. When typing, it makes me right mouse click and open one of the little context menu boxes and if i am doing a download at the time, the download stops so now i have learned to take my hand right off the mouse.
Oh no, that must be so annoying. Can't the Dr give you something else for that, or better still change the TN medication?
I'm going to try and not take my IPad or kindle with me when I'm out. I usually use them when I go out and stop for a cuppa. Only problem with this is what else would I do? Look at the four walls lol.
When you're revising for your exams how long to you revise for? Do you have breaks in between?
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
I told my Dr that I read about Gamma Knife and when he explained it to me I thought no thanks. As I'm ok with Lyrica at the moment, bar the blurred vision, I'll see how I get on for a bit longer.
Its good to know there are quite a few options out there.
Hi,
Yes the Lyrica can cause blurred vision. It can be annoying especially when using the iPad or reading. So we can be limited.
