HI there
Is there anybody our there who does or have done Dog Agility?? We have been very active in that sport, running on a Master level. I am having a RTHR on May 24 and was wondering if I would ever be able to run my little girl again??
We have not been able to run for about 1 year not and miss it something aweful.
I was very involved with working a number of working sheep dogs but did not do agility work.
Running was the one thing that I was told I should not do and apart from an occasional run such as running to catch a train I did as I was told! I was told that running would damage and shorten the life of the new hip joint. I had twenty years of physically demanding work from my hip so was well pleased.
Cheers Richard
well maybe we will do some obidience, my little girl is a lousy obidience dog so there is room for improvement lol
Dear Kaura
Just getting going again after your surgery with an aim with your four legged friend is a positive way forward and I'm sure you will do well.
I always enjoyed teaching my dogs new things and most of my dogs knew up to thirty commands.
Best wishes, Richard
Hi Kaura, There are lots of dog owners on here, and I think someone does agility. Like Richard I was also told no running, except for the bus, but there are runners on here. Enjoy your dog, whatever you end up doing.
