So 10 days ago ready for a steamy night, I shaved, including my anal area.
that evening I had unprotected anal sex with my boyfriend.
Now I’m not sure the next bit is related to the Anal herpes but the week that proceeded from that steamy night I had extreme stomach waves of cramps along with 3-4 loose stools a for 5 days.
it was about 2/3 days after the sex I noticed the irritation and lump by my anal area. I assumed it was stubble rash combined with me being ill and thought nothing of it.
I saw my partner again a few days after (no sex) and guess what he had a cold sore! I still didn’t put 1+1 together. He showed no sign of a cold sore the night we spent together.
7 days later and alot of pain I have today been to see my GP who confirmed i have a nasty case of anal herpes. I have had a full STI health check and swabs taken to find out what strain.
After discussion with the nurse, chances are it was caught from his cold sore so will probably come back as strain 1.
I have been prescribed antivirals, but it may be too late to help as I’ve had them for 7days and they have started to scab on there own.
