For months i have had a cough and a bit of a runny nose. I went to the dentist to have a bad tooth out that was giving me major problems. The dentist found a lump iny neck. Since then i have had ear ache, breathing toubles and now i am suffering bad with my throat. My throat feels sore and i have a bad tight feeling around my neck. I do feel some of the symptoms are my anxiety, but i cant stop them.
I have an appointment at ENT but not till 8th July. I can feel myself struggling daily i dont think i can cope that long !!!!
I'm not surprised that you're not coping. However, the lump in your neck is probably an inflamed gland, which seems even more likely as you have all these ENT symptoms.
Do go back to your GP and explain that you're terribly worried. He/she will be able to give you reassurance that you haven't got cancer, and will be able hurry the ENT appointment up if they think you have.
Lumps are always scary, but you're doing the right things. PLEASE go back to your GP and explain how you're feeling. Hopefullly you will then feel less anxious. Also, your GP can order blood tests (may have done so already) which will show abnormalities, if there are any. Please keep in touch. you shouldn't be worrying alone. love Tess
