I had an unprotected anal intercourse in which I was the insertive partner.

I took 3rd generation tests that take a drop of blood from my finger, 30 and 52 days after the risky relationship, both came back negative.

I went on with my life, in the country where I live the window period used is 4 weeks.

With these two negative tests I went on with my life, but 120 days after the risk, I started to have headaches, swollen lymph nodes in my armpits and neck and muscle pain.

So now I am desperate again, even though it is very strange to have symptoms after 4 months, which continue until today (6 months).

So the question is, is it possible that my tests gave a wrong result even though they were done in the right window period?

tests are usually good, but there is always a chance for them to be false negatives you need to be retested and stay safe

i also have swollen lymph nodes under armpit after 4th month. now its 4th times the swollen appear. Each time the swollen last for 4-5days. but my situation different, im man and receive unprotected oral from lady sex worker. till now im never go for test bcos too afraid.
