Down And Out ... Need Some Direction ... Doctors Are Clueless

I know I should go to a doctor for this and I have but I am getting very theoretical answers and I feel I am not going anywhere.

I am 45 years old and no BP or diabetes. No other health issues. My BMI is 27.

I work in IT and I haven’t exercised in 8 - 9 years now. My body type is typical skinny fat. I dont smoke and I dont drink alcohol too.

Now whenever I try to workout, within 5-6 minutes I get a belching (burping) attack and I am just not comfortable. Even the slightest of physical exertion gives me these burping attacks and mild head ache and i am in the attack for atleast 60 minutes and then it subsides.

I went to a gastroenterologist and got endoscopy done and nothing found except mild gastritis and i completed the course of medicines for gastritis but the problem persists.

No hiatal hernia found.

I tried to do pushups two days back and I can manage 6 and after that I got this belching attack and weird head ache.

I did 2D Echo for heart and no blockages found.

Where do I go now as the doctor is now saying its anxiety. I am at my wits end.

When i go to a theatre and if its a loud movie then it triggers a belching attack

Other scenario … when i am driving on the main highway … my belching gets triggerred and my face starts twitching.

What can be the problem as I want to workout and get fit and I cant workout and chest always feel heavy where a burp is ready to come.

Go back to the doctor and ask for an exercise ECG. I had angina years ago and my static ecg showed no abnormality but I only managed 2 minutes on the first stage of the Bruce Protocol before they stopped the test. I was getting symptoms of heartburn whenever I did any exercise but nothing else and it was only when I described heartburn after a big meal that my doctor referred me to cardiologist.

Not saying it is angina but best to rule it out.

Doctors who blame health problems on anxiety are doing it because they don’t want to admit they’re clueless and are medically gaslighting you. Get a brain MRI?
