Hello everyone,

I'm glad to say my doctor called me personally last night and told me to come in a 10am this morning what a relief. I must say I have a pretty good primary she is thorough with checking all labs and everything. Well I told her what's been going on I told her I didn't take any meds this morning and she took mi blood pressure 2x and both times normal. So she took me off both BP meds (metropol and lisinopril) and to hold off taking Levo until my results come back for T3 she called my endo and when results come back they may look into changing thyroid meds either cytomel when mention armour wasn't to enthusiastic to hear that name but she also mention the brand name synthroid instead of Levo-generic. But right now I'm drug free Im only taking my iron pill and antibiotic for UTI for right now. The BP meds (metropol) had heart rate really low.

Did your doc stated why she preferred Synthroid rather than Levo?

Also a coworker told me the same thing. She had Hashimoto and she had partial of her thyroid taken out and she said make sure you get the brand not generic. My doctor said many people do better on the brand instead of generic Levo.

My name is Shelly and I a m an RN in the USA.  I have Hashimoto's thyroid disease since 1987.

Please take care of the UTI (Urinary tract infection).  Infctions cause havoc on our immune systems and if it gets to the kidenythat can be worse.  So make sure you finish all meds antibiotics up.

Metoprolol & Lisinopril  are  for BP and pulse and will keep it down. If you BP remains good that is fine   However it must sty good or you may need to go back on it.  Cut out SALT ( Sodium) in the diet and it will help your BP.  It will help keep it lower.  Drink only 1 cup of coffee a day as a lot can raie the BP.

Synthroid is Levo.  Levothyroxine is a generic name & used in the UK and in the USA we call it Synthroid.  Same medication just a different name .  USA we use brand names and abroad they use generic names.  I know them both.
