Dr prescribed me Bisoprolol, advise regarding weight gain?

v confused dr prescibed me bisoprolol, as have v fast heart rate going upto 160bpm
i dont want to take this as am worried about all the side effects, brain fog, pains, weight gain
please advise whst i shoud do. thanks in advaince x
