I know somewhat to expect as this is my 4th change from 12.5mg to 25mg to 37.5mg now 50mg. I'm just really scared because I already can't leave my home or drive. I don't know what to expect at 50mg? Can anyone help me with their experiences? I literally just took it and my mind it running a 1000mph. Any answers would be helpful and appreciated.
I went from 50 to 100 and I only had one bad day ! Good luck
Don't panic 😊 50 mg is considered a low dosage and you shouldn't experience any horrible side effects as you have gradually increased the amount. You might find it doesn't help, and they will want to increase it more. I went from 50, 100, 150 and now 200 mg however I'm asking to change medication as it simply isn't working for me after 2yrs on it. I went through a very similar thing to you - I was trapped in those for around 7 months straight I couldn't even imagine leaving my bed or walking outside as my anxiety was so bad but I got through it and you will too. I know it's annoying when people say this, trust me, but it really is mind over matter. If you think about it you've triggered your brain into thinking you can't leave your house and you can't drive as that is an opening for an attack to happen as soon as you do. Your brain associates these things as dangerous and sends the fight or flight signals as soon as you try do them but you need to reprogram yourself and say, Infact I can actually do this and nothing bad will happen. You will get through this don't worry. 😊
What bothers me is I've been on Valium since March of 2013 and I take 20mg throughout the day and it's never helped my anxiety it was prescribed as a vestibular depressant for my inner ear disorder. This is day 3 of 50mg Zoloft and I feel like my brain can't function. I'm in a fog and insomnia kicked in last night sleep finally 6 hours and had to take a nap today. I wish I wasn't on Valium but I also don't want to be dizzy all the time vertigo non stop when I wasn't on it. I have meiner's disease as well.
