Dread bedtime

Take Tylenol PM or Excedrine PM or trazedon.

Oh I have tried pretty much everything. Ambien, Lunesta, trazodone, so many can't remember all..I can fall asleep with no problem, is just staying asleep.

I'll probably get a sleep study because my insomnia started way before my perimenopause symptoms. I been dealing with the insomnia for too long

Yes!!

What's you symptoms Hun

I fall asleep fine as well but can't stay asleep then keep rousing with dread fear panic right thru my body

No sleep

That is so me! I've had this for 18months since my periods went haywire - waking with sheer dread, panic, tingling etc. And just keep on waking up every half hour or so. Sometimes I take valium before bed and it does help a bit but I'm sure it makes me cry in the mornings!!

Hope you don't mind me asking you a question. I am 56 and also experiencing sleep problems and hot flushes. I suffer with IBS, gerd and diverticular. Earlier this year I started taking magnesium, Vit c with zinc, milk thistle, probiotics and b vitamins but suffered the most horrendous stomach pains, seriously thought I was dying, gp at a loss as to what was going on. Found out it was supplements by chance following a holiday in October when I did not take them for a week, pain went after 3 days and started again when re took supplements. I am now off vits and supplements completely but want to reintroduce again especially b and magnesium, have you any ideas why I got the pains and which of the supps would cause burning type pains. Thanks for any help

Go to a sleep doctor ASAP.

Like I had said I've been going through this for a long time so I guess getting a sleep study is what I'm going to get done.

Oh thank god it's just not me the feeling feel like I'm having a complete meltdown my whole body is absorbed by this terrible panic stricken depressed state 😭😭😭😭

I doubt they would help with the menopause lol

My husband has sleep apena.  Finally getting a good rest, so important.  He did the sleep study.

Oh trust me I know..my mom has sleep apnea too. I'm a nurse too and I'm always giving referrals to our patients for sleep studies when they complain about insomnia.

I will probably be getting my sleep study done in a few days. I have to schedule it on Monday!

Dear Cazjaz.

I was always someone who slept well but now i go about four hours then i wake, i normally have to throw the covers off me, thankfully i somehow manage to keep my mind clear and i can normally drop off again I get the dry mouth and eyes, plus terrible watery eyes in the day x
