So for the last few months whenever I try to sleep during the day I get zaps. Happens when I'm drifiting to sleep that I feel like jolt or sudden heart attack feeling. But once I wake up I'm fine.
Has anyone experience something like this before ?

I have and they diagnosed me with GAD generlized anxiety they have put me on celexa only on day 3 so not much help there
It's the most annoying thing ever I hate it
This could be due to a low Vit D , parathyroid disorder or a low calcium level.
It is best discussed with your dr for evaluation. He can check your reflexes and do a full blood screening for any anaemia, thyroid dysfunction etc.
Good luck,
I've had all that done about 2 months ago
That was actually the cause of me going to the ER but they couldn't find anything
I had zaps when I used Citalopram, are you on any meds?
Just on .125mg of xanax once per day
Xanax doesn't cause any problems, you just get a tolerance to them.
Sorry I couldn't help.
I would have to say Xanax does cause what is commonly known as brain zaps so it may very well be due to the medication.
Perhaps your doctor could refer you to a neurologist about thee jerky movements to establish the cause. ER is not really the place for these kinds of conditions.
Yessssss all the time!!! I do not know why but it's been happening to me for years now. I think you will find a lot of people on here experience the same ♡
Lyrica caused these for me too. My neurologist reported this adverse reaction to the MHRA.
Obviously th lyrica/pregabelinwas immediately discontinued.
