Hi, I have been taking Fuoextine on and off for a couple of years and have found that many of my side effects are reduced dramatically by drinking a lot more water. I worked this out because I noticed I was urinating a lot more and was having almost delerium type episodes in early stages of sleep at night. I have found that drinking more makes my sleep episodes disappear and I think it has had a positive effect on the upside of the drug - getting rid of the depression. BUT YOU HAVE TO DRINK A LOT - about 2 litres of water a day - not tea or coffee or coke etc. they all make it worse. Try it and I bet many of you will feel the side effects reduce. Good Luck !
Thanks for the tip! Worth a try :-)

Thanks for that i'll definately give it a try
Hi it's me again. I should add that I was having to take Omeprazole as well to control acid stomach problems but drinking the water stopped that as well. I do hope it works for you both. Regards. Nick
Hi was wondering if each time you started fluoxetine if you had the same side effects? Or did it take longer to work?
Hi Nicole, interesting question. I think the honest answer is "possibly". The first time was brilliant and initially I was happy to put up with the side effects. However i eventually took the plunge and came off it because of them. Subsequently i have been on and off a couple of times. Each "off" was driven by the side effects. I think each "on" produced a less dramatic more measured up and down side think. I have got them under control now so have no plans to come off if things stay the way they are.

Like the first time I started them I don't remember such dramatic side effects. This time I had jaw clenching, increasing anxiety, and shaking feeling. I think I have more anxiety prior to start them too though.
thanks for the tip. I have been drinking lots of water throughout the day, like few bottles of 600ml but still find myself constantly tired all the time. I will try cutting down on the caffeine side and see if it would make any difference
cheers,
Siska
