Hello all! I'm a 25 year old female that's been suffering from dizziness (not spells, but 24/7 symptoms) for four years now. Since March of 2014 to be exact. It started after a period of extreme stress in my life. I woke up one morning and felt like I had drank a ton of alcohol. It only progressed over the days until I started feeling like I was about to black out. I was rushed to the emergency room and after several tests was disgnosed with Labrynthitis...the doctor gave me antibiotics and said it would clear in a few weeks. Well for some months into it I was having all the symptoms still with tons of anxiety! I did not have insurance or money to get help at the time I had to continue to work and go to college...over time i stopped having as much anxiety but the drunk/surreal feelings and dizzy never went away completely. Its always there. Here lately the anxiety and dizziness has sparked up again I'm thinking due to a pretty bad argument I had with my bf a couple weeks ago. I feel giddy and dizzy I can't concentrate...I just feel like everything around me isnt real and I'm drunk all the time. No other way to explain it. I'm in a position now to where I can go to the doc but I dont even know where to start? What questions should I ask? What specialist should I see? Any advice would help. I really want to pin down if this illness is vestibular migraine or vestibular neuritis or something like that. Anyone with similar experience PLEASE let me know! Thanks
Didnt mean to put this in this category and not sure how to get it out
