I have been dealing with dry eye syndrome for several years with no luck getting it resolved through my regular eye Dr.. So I finally decided just see an opthamologist today. After running several tests he decided to put little plugs in my lower tear ducts. I have never heard of this treatment and I'm anxious to see how well it works. My question is has anyone else ever heard of this type of treatment and if so have you had any good results from it?.
Hi,yes, its a common treatment. I dont have them, but might try them,I also have dry eye. Not fun, keep us posted on how they work for you. Xx
Hello. I had this procedure done. I have had them in for about 8 months. They are temporary they will come out. I have had them replaced several times they have helped some but not near enough. Hopefully you will have better luck. Everyone is different.
Well I don't know if it take time it wouldn't seem that would take time for it to work but so far I wouldn't say it's working very well. I've got some improvement. He told me if I didn't get a lot of improvement he would block the top ones too. But he made it sound like it was really going to do the job. The way he made it sound so good, I'm really disappointed.
Thanks you response.
