I've been using the Aussie shampoo but the results have been a bit variable. Today I used it and then conditioner......a better result! I agree with the good cut which helps. I think it's trial and error as the Aussie shampoo worked well for a while.
Miy hair is dry, my sister said it looked thicked??? I do get little white milia on my skin, several on my face. I choose not to lance them since the healing process takes so long and all the redness it would result in. I have products rec. by my dermatologist (Effeclar by Roche-Posay), OTC. It helps.
Thicker is what I meant to say (not thicket), sorry.
Yes, I forgot to say - for me. But other shampoos were hopeless. Whatever price they were! Trial and error - what a shame you can't get tiny trial sizes...
Leave it to our haridressers to be totally frank with us! lol
Speaking of brillo pads, I have to share this horrid picture of myself from last year shortly after the pred started having it's nasty effects on my hair. We went on vacation to Puerto Vallarta, & the pred frizziness combined with the moisture in the air, turned my hair in an uncontrollable mess. Good thing I had plenty of good libations so I didn't care what it looked like (and I stayed away from mirrors!). [biggrin]
Oh, yes, for me it did. I lost most of hair on my head and most of body hair. It's coming in now, but dry and lifeless! But I feel SO much better, AND WIGS ARE FUN AND EASY, AND MAKE ME FEEL BETTER!
Thanks for the picture. It looks just like my hair- but mine times 2. I love the wigs I ger from California. Everyone remarks how great my hair looks and they don't know its a wig. I have had 5 so far all the same length and color- slightly different styles. Very comfortable and cool. Even if my own hair went back to normal I would still use them. I switch off and wash them every couple days, hang it on a hook to dry and comb it out in the morning.
Never imagined myself doing this but you do what works.
That's OK - mine made me look about 90!
Yes - hairdresser visits in fron of a mirror were hell - I had to take my specs off which was less worse but then she would aks if "this" was OK.
Does more wine help frizzy hair then?????????????????
Pretty sure wine helps everything!
Lord Vickie, were you actually doing to drink that or have a bath in it !!!
( Lovely pic. by the way ). J
I drank every bit of it & loved it! When I finished, I didn't care at all what my hair looked like! lol
I had highlights done for years.....if you wait long enough Father Time
will highlight your hair for you......now mostly gray (but a nice gray)
and some salt and pepper look. I save a ton of money by letting it
go au natureal......
Until I was 30 I had beautiful highlights - silver in a reddish brunette, all natural. Then it was not right - so I coloured it and got light red highlights in darker auburn. Then it was too much, in a week the roots were showing. Since I was 40 I have left it to Mother Nature - and now I have a (though I says it what shouldn't) a stunning head of white blonde!
As Faye says - leaves a lot of money to spend on far better things!
Vickie, you look ten times better than I did until I had it cut very short. It now sticks up and looks quite trendy!
What was it?
Last time I went to the hairdresser I told him people had said my short hair looked funky. He said 'I bet no one has called you funky for a while'. Perhaps it is time for me to look for another hairdresser!
I can't remember if it was a strawberry daiquiri or margarita--all I remember is that it was delish!!!
I will now be able to picture you Eileen, when i read all your posts, as a stunning white blonde.
i think I will try a good new stylist and a strawberry dacquiri
Before anyone says anything, I said the hair was stunning - not necessarily me! I do have a picture on the NE of England PMRGCAUK support forum but don't ask me to add one here, managing that was the extent of my skills with a bit of assistance from a grandchild!
