Dry mouth and burning mouth and tongue

Hi all

I've been experiencing a very dry mouth with a burning and buzzing mouth and jaw. It's driving me mad,also a bitter taste in my mouth which makes things taste horrible. Sometimes my jaw throbs after eating . Could this be an allergy?

I've had times of this,sometimes quite extended. I've often wondered about allergies too,but it could be acid reflux - I have silent reflux, so I don't feel heartburn but I get other effects and it can defiantly affect the mouth. It's very common

Hello I had this problem for about six months tried everything but only one thing worked and that was drinking lots and lots of water. Now if I feel it starting start drinking water and it goes. Give it a try, also chew chewing gum that doesn't get rid of it but makes it feel better.

certain meds may cause this.  Daughter had neuro surgery in 2013 and experiences this all the time and she is a big water drinker.
