Hi........for the longest time I always have had dry mouth. I do take meds for anxiety and meds for HBP. Anyone here have to deal with this.
Yes, Medication for high blood pressure causes you to lose a lot of water. That's why the dry mouth. I have that same issue. I try to drink a lot of fluids with during the day .
I don't think there's a whole lot we can do other than stay hydrated and sometimes I'll pop a mint in my mouth .
Make sure you have regular dental check ups because A dry mouth is more prone to cavities.
Yep i have suffered for awhile now with dry mouth, more than likely from anxiety itself, meds and smoking.. and im only 22!
Hi:
yes I do all the time. When it gets very bad, I use a spray named Oasis -- also comes in a bottle similar to mouthwash. One tip is NEVER use mouthwash that contains alcohol. Water just doesn't do it for me and the spray only lasts so long. I have the worst time at night especially during the winter when the humidity is low inside. I finally broke down and bought a good humidifier for the house. Helps. A room humidifier is good as well for nighttime. Sometimes my mouth feels like I have cotton in it. Nasty. Take good care of your teeth too because dry mouth can cause and usually does your gums to shrink away from your teeth causing gum line cavities. I found that out the hard way.
yes it is due to your meds therse a product you can bye called biotene witch helps try it
Thank you all for your responses!!!!
Yes I have tried that but the taste is too sweet for me -- I like Oasis more. Both are mouth moisturiers -- just depends on which one you like. I don't know of any other besides these two.
Thanx
