Lubes are nice for masturbation but unfortunately with all the friction sometimes the skin reacts to that quite badly.
Stop using the body lotion you were using. As far as possible try to keep soap and things like shower gel away from the head and foreskin area of your penis as this skin is really sensitive to stuff it does not like.
Use water to wash the penis with only, then make sure it is completely dried afterwards.
Get yourself some liquid coconut oil that is used on the body (rather than for hair) or some shea butter, you only need a light coating of these if you want to use them as a lube for masturbation.
