I was told after having scope down last year I had inflammation in dueodeum,it has got worse recently and I have gone from 40mg nexium to 80mg but after a week on them the pain is still severe when standing or walking..its ok when sitting..I am worried sick..I am waiting to have scope down again...I am afraid there is more damage now...has anyone been through similar?
I have inflammation at the top of my stomach and at first the PPIs helped but then they just stopped and now I’m in pain a lot of the day and have back pain with it. I don’t know what to do so I’m going to try and change my diet and see if that helps. You’re not alone!
Hi on my 1st endoscopy i was told small hiatus hernia and small patch of inflammation at base of eosophogus, tried ppi but not for long as worried about side effects. Now a couple of years later had a 2nd endoscope which found same patch of inflammation plus small patch at top of duedenum. I have frequent episodes of severe burning in stomach with pain going through to back, feel weak and tired, nausea, bloated stomach etc. It has got worse as time goes by. I worry about stomach cancer because of damage it may be doing. I tested negative for bacteria so dont know what is causing it and why it wont heal. Would just love to be able to eat normal again.
Thanks for ur reply,I was told the same after first endoscopy,no bacteria..I am sick with worry about cancer,nothing gives me relief from the pain now,I eat healthy,attending a nutritionist,I have a large family to look after and am finding it such a struggle,the pain is wearing..I want to have the endoscopy now just so I can maybe get the right meds to fix the pain..I used to love walking everyday but cant now...
