Dx'd early Dec. with hypo. Question re cholesterol after

The doctor who ordered the test put me on 100 mcg Levothyroxine when my TSH was 8.  I saw an internal medicine guy who did blood work and my TSH was 0.045!  He lowered my dosage to 75 mcg and I saw an otolaryngologist for my 'nodules'.  I had a large, fluid filled cyst which the radiologist drained (benign) but the 2nd cyst was too tiny and fluid and the 2 nodules were the size of erasers so will be re scanned in 6 months.   Broke out in a heat type rash that itched like crazy and had to DEMAND another TSH.  My test came back at 0.045!  He reduced meds to 50 mcg.

Today I went for my insurance companies bio metric screening at the local high school.

The testing machine froze. Once they removed the plastic slide with blood samples, they put the slide on a shelf in full sunlight while they attempted to get the machine running. We waited at least 10 minutes for the head tech. They cleaned the reader with an alcohol wipe. Didn't work. Checked batteries and then unplugged machine for 5 minutes and reset. THEN they took my slide and reinserted the old blood into the machine. The first reading said error and the second was:

Triglycerides 190

Total Cholesterol 350

HDL 47

LDL 265

I don't know how scared I should be because I don't know much about cholesterol and 2 numbers are off the chart.

After four months on Levothyroxine, I am shocked to see my cholesterol is so much higher than it's ever been.  I've gained four pounds, too.  My thigh muscles ache. The rash is gone and I can sleep most nights.  The rash and bad nights came with being thrown into hyperthyroidism.

Doctor won't retest my TSH until March 28th, when I've been on the lowered dose for 7 weeks.

Any thoughts on the cholesterol?  The tech did say to the other lady, 'we need to hurry'..........   I wonder if I should have demanded they re do the blood.

Can you get hold of the book  " The Great Cholesterol Con " by Dr Mc Kendrick. It is so convincing, and he  does have a sort of forum. It makes interesting reading and makes one wonder if they have all got it wrong. Worth a read and very thought provoking.

There are several videos on Youtube dealing with this.

I'm not one who likes to take medicine and statins are known killers.  I'm angry that I can't get a retest but am eating all the right foods to fight cholesterol, just in case.
