Anyone have ear and jaw pain that comes and goes, I'm in perimenapause and this is driving me crazy some days it could be on the left ear and other days it could be on the right but mines is mostly on the left.
Hi Jacqueline yes my jaws been hurting me today, right hand side and more my top jaw x
I haven’t had pain but I’ve noticed I’m getting a lot of blocked/popping ears xx
Hi karen,
Iv had this on and off for a couple of months now, does your ears hurt.
Hi Hayley,
Can you share all your other perimenapause symptoms.
Yes, I get all the time, first I thought it was tooth ach but now I know it's not😣
Hi gilly,
This ear and jaw pain started 2 months ago it's there every day but it subsides then it comes back yesterday was really bad on my left side.
Yes sometimes they do x
Hi yes I get this too on my right side earache, my glands are up slightly and dull headache makes me think I'm getting a bug as work in a pre school (germs galore) I've actually had it the past few days is it down to peri menopause then? I haven't had a period for nearly two years but the pill I'm taking does stop your periods so I just don't know.
Lissa
Hi Jacqueline
I have had this for a few days in my left side only I couldn't work out if I had an ear infection and it was making jaw ache never put it down to peri.
Hope yours eases soon bless ya.
Karen
Hi Jacqueline,
So far I’ve had heavy/clot periods, aching joints (mostly fingers) bad mood swings, itchy scalp with spots, feeling tired and can’t be bothered, hot flashes but not often. A lot of them I didn’t realise could be symptoms until I joined this group, I’m sure I’ve got many more but don’t/didn’t associate them with perimenopause xx
Hi karen,
Does this eventually subsides I did not have this before this started maybe 3 months ago.
Hi yes I can have it for a day or two then it can go for monthes at a time x
Yep. Certainly do. I also get that crackling popping noise in my ears as well.
hi Trinity I also have the same issue with my right ear. it’s crackling, popping and ringing. I also have jaw pain. did your ear symptoms start with other peri symptoms? mine started right after all the panic attacks and anxiety.
teeth grinding at night is very common in women going through menopause..or clenching of teeth dure to stress anxiety which is heightened during this transtition..can cause jaw pain earache.neck shoulder and head pain
i will tell you this has been one of my
most bothersome symptoms besides severe anxiety, hot flashes, insomnia, breast tenderness etc. Ear and jaw pain started when i started peri. more on left. would cause sharp pain on top of roof of mouth, ear pain, jaw pain, behind left tonsil (where throat meets ear) too would THROB which would then cause a migraine.
i had migraines on left where mastoid is for a couple years. i was terrified i had something very bad. the pain was debilitating. i got Severe tooth pain and went to dentist and he said it was my sinuses-that my teeth were fine! then months later started having severe popping in ears and sinus pain and drainage. went to ENT and had a bunch of tests and its SEVERE ALLERGIES. allergic rhinitis. started CLARITIN AND FLONASE DAILY and symptoms dissappeared after having them for almost a year!!!
menopause makes histamine levels wacky. if you have allergies or a deviated septum like i do it can get really bad.
Jacqueline and Ladies;
I am 52 and officially post menopause. I have tonsil stones (to disclose as that may be part of it but I am always digging them out - I know nasty) but do any of you have the following:
Pain in the deep back of throat on one side (not when I swallow just any ole time) that comes and goes
Pain (same side) in my upper jaw
Pain (same side) in deep in ears that almost itches
Pain between shoulder-blade (I am right handed and sit on my computer for business about 10 hours a day
this is also on the right side
All these come and go. My lymph nodes are not swollen, no fever and this is driving me nuts.
Am I alone in this?
Did you ever have this checked out??? My husband is experiencing a ‘clogged ear’ and jaw pain.. I’m thinking it’s due to stress but not sure.
I have been having this jaw and ear pain that comes and goes was worried until I came across this forum. Is it part of perimenoupausal signs cos am 47 years old and have been getting alot of symptoms lately.
