Hey everyone. I've been having this ear pressure fullness like I'm under water since end of march. I also had a csf leak from a spinal tap the same time. I had 2 blood patches to fix it. I had pressure in head n ears they said it must be sinuses the pressure from head went away but ears are still filled with pressure. Went to ent he says there's nothing wrong with my ears. Multiple docs have looked inside nothing going on. But ent n 2nd opinion neurologist said it's possible ur pressure is off. I'm freaking out. I don't know who to see about this. What if my brain is filling up with pressure n something bad happens. I'm freaking out. Plus it's very uncomfortable feeling. Anybody out there no about this. Need help.
Hi there,
I felt I had to reply as I went through a similar thing a few years ago. Firstly I'm sorry you are going through this its truly terrifying.
Mine started with feelings of pressure in my head and followed exactly as you describe, with my ears having a pressure feeling and felt and sounded at times like being under water.
Anyway after a while of being told alsorts such as it's because of your kidney infection, stress etc I ended up having symptoms that seemed like a stroke. Luckily I hadn't had a stroke but was eventually diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines. It's effectively a migraine without the migraine pain but a pressure feeling.and can have many variations such as numb arms sight visions etc.
Mine i was told was due to overuse of ibuprofen. I stopped using it but had a few more since.
I'm not saying this is what you have but could be a route to look at? And I wouldn't recommend stopping any medications of course without any medical advice but if you are on any maybe get your doctor to look at this as a possibility? I've also known it to be a symptom of high blood pressure so not sure where you are with that.
I hope you find answers and a solution to your problem. And please try not to freak out which I know is easy to say but ive learnt this can definitely make things worse. And like me it could be very straightforward and treatable.
