Hi. I recently found out I'm pregnant and me and husband are over the moon. Just one thing - I am only 5 weeks 4 days gone yet I am certain I have a bump. Is this normal so soon?

Is it your first pregnancy? Reason I ask is in my second pregnancy my bump showed super early (can't remember how many weeks) but was a lot earlier than the first one. Another thing, but don't want to worry you unnecessarily, this happened to a friend, where her bump was really noticeable at 6 weeks, and it was unfortunately an ectopic pregnancy and she was swollen with bleeding....... Are you bleeding? Really don't want to worry you but I would ask your midwife to see you just to be sure things are all ok. Best of luck, hope you get on ok.
Meant to say, they can do an early scan if they suspect possible ectopic. And I think you'd have abdominal pain too if it was that. Best to speak to a midwife, they're great. Sorry if I've made you worried x
Thanks for the advise Sarah. It is my first pregnancy. I have no bleeding at all and I have mild cramps which feel like period pain, but I wouldn't say its painful. I only found out a week ago so only just been reffered to midwife but as soon as she gets in touch I will mention it to her. Thanks again xx
