started with a tremor in my hand last year saw a general neuro who thought its maybe related to chronic pain i suffer and to keep eye on it be re reffered if it changes now its gone to my arms and legs my balance is poor keep falling over my muscles are stiff as a board i get tremors after using my muscles say even drying my hair and also i keep stiffeneing up so bad my body just wants to stretch itself out from head to toe worse duirng the night i hav also started with restless leg syndrome im also getting confused and forgetful has anyone else experianced parkinsons onset like this im wondering wether to be referred back to a movement disorder specilist instead any ideas on this thanks in advance x

The problem is you are worrying understanderbly. And these symptoms are often caused by different diseases and causes. If it is Parkinsons meds will control it and help you return to normal function but it may not be .
My mother had Parkinson's and the meds do work and do return you to normal function.
But I have 2 friends who have severe tremors one of the head the other of arms and legs...both were mis diagnosed with Parkinson's placed on meds for over 2 years with one of them . The meds didn't work ..eventually mri scans ct scans and the neurologists diagnosed them correctly.
they then had to wean off the meds and be treated for their illnesses.
one has fibromyalgia which causes stiffness and spasms and was involved in a car crash 10 or so years ago which caused nerve damage in the neck hence tremor of head.
The other on the scan showed strokes which had caused tremors in arms and legs and difficulty speaking ...slowness of thought ..also they had been in a car crash and had nerve damage to lower back ...
just hoping to explain that your symptoms need to be investigated as they are worsening .
Parkinsons is actually manageable so try not to fear it.
I agree with you, be referred to a Neuro who specialises in movement disorders. I was and recently had an MRI brain scan and a DAt brain scan to test for parkinsons.
etc Ive now been diagnosed with a neuro condition called Dystonia which I hadn't even heard of let alone considered. That's the problem there are so many different conditions presenting with similar symptoms.

im on meds for fibromyalgia but the neuro wanted me to wait keep eye on the tremors and see if i develop oter symptoms if so be refered back to a general neuro there is other symptoms as the tremor started in right hand then left over the last two months its affecting my arms, legs, too and im so tiff and rigid after sitting being a passenger in a car and during night my body has this automatic urge to stretch out its embarrasing getting out of a car say at a car park i hav stand beind car down and just completely stretch my body from head to foot same after sitting and worse during the night very bizarre symptoms never had this before
