Ears hissing sound and giddy

Hello

For 2 years I have had an hissing noise in both ears,it goes for a few days then it's back.I don't know whether this is making be very giddy and off balance.also the back of my neck is tight

Simone, have you seen someone about this? All your symptoms are clearly connected. You need to insist on a referral to an ENT specialist.

Hi lily about 3 years ago I went to the doctors because of the giddy spells and off balance, also when I Stan feels like I'm swaying.

Doctor gave me anti depressents,I did feel anxious and down, but because of this happening to me.

I had a ct scan on the brain and an mri on brian, all fine.

Also ecg, echo gram and blood tests.all fine.

I spent one night in hospital because I was so giddy and off balance I was kept in,only because my husband insisted, whilst I was in hospital they sent an ent doctor to see me ,she just looked in my ears and said everything was fine,

I don't take the antideppressents no more I stopped taking them about 8 months ago .I feel better in myself without them.

Simone, that ENT doctor wanted shooting! You can't possibly diagnose vertigo (whatever the underlying cause) by just looking in someone's ears. You really do need another referral to an ENT specialist.

Do you have episodes of vertigo (spinning sensations)?

Hi no I don't spin,I can be standing cooking for example, and ill get giddy and then it goes. Thanks for replying

I hate going into a supermarket or shop I normally feel worse,I prefer to have company but if I have to go alone I get more anxious

Has blood pressure related issues been ruled out?
