QUESTIONS FOR THE DOCTOR:

  1. Considering the patient’s overweight status, are the LA Area (32.4 cm2) and RVIDd (3.65 cm) interpreted as normal when indexed to Body Surface Area (BSA)?
  2. Does the LA Area indicate remodeling due to chronic hypertension?
  3. Is the current therapy (Amlodipine/Bisoprolol) sufficient given these structural parameters?
  4. Is there any evidence of hypertensive heart disease or compensated heart failure?

I have Increased Body Mass Index

HTN 1year (Amlodipine 10 mg, Bisoprolol 5 mg). Echo 7m ago I make Echo : RVIDD PLAX 3.65 cm, TAPSE 2.67, LA area 32.4 cm2, LA diam 4 cm. How possible diam 4 cm., but Area 32,4 cm2? My size RVIDd not ok?These seem high—why report normal? LA enlarged? Repeat echo? HF risk?Thank you.Best regards.
