QUESTIONS FOR THE DOCTOR:
- Considering the patient’s overweight status, are the LA Area (32.4 cm2) and RVIDd (3.65 cm) interpreted as normal when indexed to Body Surface Area (BSA)?
- Does the LA Area indicate remodeling due to chronic hypertension?
- Is the current therapy (Amlodipine/Bisoprolol) sufficient given these structural parameters?
- Is there any evidence of hypertensive heart disease or compensated heart failure?
I have Increased Body Mass Index
HTN 1year (Amlodipine 10 mg, Bisoprolol 5 mg). Echo 7m ago I make Echo : RVIDD PLAX 3.65 cm, TAPSE 2.67, LA area 32.4 cm2, LA diam 4 cm. How possible diam 4 cm., but Area 32,4 cm2? My size RVIDd not ok?These seem high—why report normal? LA enlarged? Repeat echo? HF risk?Thank you.Best regards.
