So I've written on here about seeing a cardiologist and she told me my heart was fine etc what I get is called ectopic beats? I don't get them that much but when I do they frighten me to absolute death, it feels like your heart is stopping and starting but yet pounding at the same time. Mine kicked off an hour ago after getting extremely stressed about going to see the doctor and hadn't eaten properly all day, I'm okay now but feel a little worn out from all the panic and trying to keep my cool to make it worse. Anyone else get these?
I get what they call premature ventricular contractions which probably feels siimilar. Everyone gets them but those with anxiety are sensitive to is so it scares the holy hell out of you. It's kind of like a palpatation. It feels like your heart skipped a beat and took away your breath for a split second. From what I've heard it's common and cnan actually be triggered by anxiety and then made worse by it. I usually cough and drink water when I get them. Or pour a glass of wine I hope you feel better!! If it makes you feel better, my boyfriend (who does NOT have anxiety) gets random episodes where his heart beats like crazy. I'm talking 160 bpm for like 50 minutes. It's really scary but it passes. I get him in a yoga pose that slows your heart rate down. He was annoyed the last time it happened but not anxious..I was definitely anxious for him though!
To not make it worse I meant. 😂
Thank you for your reply.😊 yes, I have GAD so whenever this happens I usually think I'm about to die, it didn't help that I hadn't eaten propley today either, so felt a little bit faint at the same time which makes it even worse.😂 I've heard a lot of people say coughing helps, I'll do that next time or pour a glass of wine haha! 😝
