I have severe Adema in my lower legs ankles and feet due to 40 mg of prednisone treating my PMR. Does anybody else have this and what do you do for it? My diuretic is not working lemon water is not working help
Be careful with diuretics - certain sorts are not suitable to be used with steroids, you must have potassium sparing ones.
Try cutting salt in your diet and also carbohydrate can encourage fluid retention. If I eat salted food my feet go up like balloons, eating out for 3 days in a row on holiday is very obvious. And since I normally eat low carb because of pred, eating carbs doesn’t help either!
By any chance do you take Amlodipine for your pressure along with your water pill ?
It is notorious for causing swelling of the ankles and feet.
