At the moment I'm on holiday abroad and the temperature is 36 degrees. During the day I'm fine but in the evening I've been coming out in itchy lumps, mainly on my arms, legs and the back of my neck. At first I thought they were bites but they are not. Could this be related to taking steroids? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? and if so, what is the best course of action? It really is driving me mad.
Hi Fran
Sounds more like hives caused by the heat. I suggest you go to a chemist in the morning and show them. You might just need an antihistamine but I'm not a doctor and wouldn't know if you can take them with steroids - it would be best that the pharmacist checks you out first.
Hope you get better.

Thank you Evelyn. Got checked out by the Pharmacist this morning. They are mosquito bites to which I've had an allergic reaction! Got antihistamine tablets which are safe to take with Prednisolone and some cream. Feel much better.
Hi again Fran
So glad you got checked out and now have the medicine to stop the itching. I know how it fels to get mosquito bites yuk!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday now without worrying.
regards Evelyn
Thank you, I will
not sure which country you are in - mosquito repellant can help stop the bites in the first place. Aerogard in Aus. Anything with citronella in it. Whatever the locals use. Depends on the country, different mosquitoes are active at different times of day. Our house they appear around dusk.
PS or DEET
Thanks Julian, I was given something by the Pharmacist which appears to be working
