Im about to start Effexar can anyone tell me about the side effects ie weight gain
The way I look at it is calorie in calorie out, watch what you eat and workout, you’ll be fine!! Anyway it works for me!

Effexor is venlafaxine, and Lustral is sertraline ( trade name and generic name )......the side effects of both of these meds are slightly different as Effexor is a SNRI ( reuptake of noradrenaline affected as well as serotonin ) whereas Sertraline is an SSRI ( only affects serotonin reuptake ).....main side effects people notice are dizziness and GI side effects.....these tend to settle after this first couple of weeks though. I had a terrible experience on it. It made me depressed. Crying. It was awe full that said everyone is different. I had a DNA test done and sure enough Effexor was on the DO Not Use list. Good luck
