Hello , I have a friend that suffers from extreme anxiety. Started on effexor 6 months ago. After 8 weeks, got up to 150mg, and then Rexulti was added, first at 0.5mg, then 1.00mg. For a couple of months it turned her around, and she put her lost weight back on. Wasnt anywhere near a recovery, but it was a big turnaround. However, the improvement only lasted a couple of months, and quite quickly relapsed. Increased effexor to 187.5mg, but after a couple of weeks, couldnt handle the increased anxiety. so went back down to 150mg for effexor. Rexulti was increased to 1.5mg, and then 2.00mg. Currently, she doesnt feel like shes loosing it like a few weeks ago, however, is feeling down, and is still getting physical anxiety symptoms daily. Also takes xanax. To me, looks like effexor isnt doing anything for her. She has tried 2 ssris previously, zoloft, worked for a long time, then stopped. Lexapro for a while, but medical dr increased lex dose to max, and thats when the extreme anxiety started. Has anyone else had similar experiences with these meds, and what did they try next. She's seeing her pysc next week, and has asked to review effectiveness of effexor. Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thank you.

thanks. did you try many before prozac? its so hard to tell. you wouldnt naturally think of proxac, but know it works for a lot of people. thanks
yeah I did try many. it’s SUCH a pain cuz you have to wait each time to see if they’ll work!
