My Doctor put me on effexor xr 37.5mg and then upped it to 75mg. I felt spaced out on the higher side. So she lowered it back down. A few weeks after lowering the dose I started hearing voices. I want to come off of it. She says take every other day for a week and stop it. Is this enough time to wean off?
Yes it is if you have been on it less than 4 weeks. And 37.5 is sub therapeutic so going off it this way should not be too difficult.
It is hard to tell as my own experience was to wean within a month after being on a 75mg dose for two and a half years. I think you can expect a few difficult reactions as thus neducation is quite strong All the best!
