Electric shock in the groin

I am six weeks post op, doing really well, little pain, sleeping at night, walking 3km + a day without any crutches. Today though i have been getting little electric shock type pains in my groin. anyone else suffering similar?

Hi John, sounds like nerve issues but I’m no doctor. Aware that you had minimal invasive surgery and appear to be doing better than most on here, however, I try to walk a mile or so most days and I am early 50’s, the Peak District was my playground, at the moment (4 months) I cannot imagine doing as much as you until the weather picks up. Suggest a hot bean bag and a couple days rest may be in order, not much help I’m afraid but nerve damage can be complicated by over doing it whatever your surgeon says, remember, he’s not the one that had the op.

I just had a revision 2 weeks ago. My first surgery was about a year ago. I started having groin pain a few weeks after surgery. It was like an electric shock as well. It continued to get worse. I finally had to have a revision because my cup was to large and not placed right and this caused Iliopsoas tendon impingement. I found out that this is common after a THR. There are several conservative treatments for this. Unfortunately, none worked for me. If it continues ask your surgeon about it. Good luck to you.

I has these before my OP ser dr coulf be nervos coming back
