does anyone know what this is as its scaring me so much i feel like im going to die.its only when i lie down to go to sleep it happens randomly but is getting more and more worrying...thanks in advance.

It sounds like a neurological problem. You may be trapping or lying in a nerve when you lie down. You should go see your doctor and get an appointment with a neurologist…
hi mary thankyou for your advice.i used to get them when i was an alcoholic and never had a drink but i cant understand how im getting them now as ive been drink free for 16 months.i will inform my doctor,many thanks be blessed x

No worries, happy to try and be of some help.. Have you tried lying in a different position and see if you still get that electric shock sensation, buy changing positions you may at least be able to pinpoint where the electrical sensation is coming from…
