Had my first injection today for RA, which I have been dealing with for 30 years. What experience with it can u share?
Injection of what?
I used another of the biologics, Actemra, which was very affective to alleviate RA symptoms for about three months. But there were side affects that concerned my rheumy.
As far as I know, the biologics, of which Enbrel is one, affect different people differently, but there is nearly always some after-effect of flu-like symptoms that should be taken into account.
I was thrilled to be symptom free, if only for three months!
I've been on Enbrel now for about 15 mths along with Mtx pens. Enbrel was my wonder drug to start with but recently doesn't seem to be working so well. I self inject and that's the worst bit. It stings like crazy and sometimes leaves a mark on my thigh. Other than that you can hopefully expect to see a difference in your pain & stiffness etc.
Embrell for me was an excellent drug and after 20 years I finally had my life back. I had no side effects at all and if it works for you it will give relief in a couple of weeks.

Same true for me....but with Humira.
