so been having issues for last 18 months. From reading the forums sounds like a prostate issue, as have the voiding problems, pressure in the lower abdomen which feels like a tight belt, groin pains that feel like ive pulled a muscle permanently and highly sensitive bowel movements.
it took me a long time just to get any kind of traction with health professionals who tested me for everything, said issues with liver at first as ALT was high then it wasn’t. i have elevated IGA in my blood but apparently thats non specific but could mean infection. all the while my urine samples were negative other than ureaplasma and mycoplasma hominis both dismissed as red herring. fast forward a year and i got fed up, id had the camera into my bladder, all fine, taken Doxycycline, azithromicyn, trimethroprim as id refused to take the original prescribed ciprofloxacin.
Doxycycline seemed to have solved my urea and mycoplasma out as 5 negative tests im confident thats resolved.
I Still had these pains and also every day i wake up and have inflammation on penis glands, like red patches that always cleared after shower.
I paid for urine analysis and it came back positive for enterococcal faecalis, susceptible to nitrofurantoin and ampicillin. Took that to the doctors who did there own test and there you go positive, not sure why it wasnt the 6/7 times previously..
prescription of 7 days nitrofurantoin. gave urine sample after and still there so straight onto two more weeks, great redness gone but lingering pain and now red patches are back and same pains again.
ive had two semen negative cultures and awaiting a urine culture now symptoms are coming back.
anyone got some positive stories of beating this and do this sound like prostatitis? even with negative semen cultures as not sure how can have Enterococcus for 18 months and it not be in prostate and just a UTi as the doctors think
