The Epstein-Barr virus has been found to cause Lupus and another auto immune disease. I have Cogan’s Syndrome and was wondering if it could be the cause asI had a bad sore throat at the start. I was wondering if anyone knows more about this virus and the connection to auto immune diseases.

I had those symptoms except a rash and don’t know if my spleen was enlarged. However, I did have a very high liver reading. The sore throat was very bad. I ended up in hospital.
