I had this condition 8 years ago, with lumps up to my back and in my arms. after 8 weeks of bed rest the lumps went but left some bruising , numbness on one foot in my toes, and constant pain. I am just the same today, the condition has never got any better, and i find it difficult to walk at any pace. No reason for this desease was ever found ! I just take pain killers to try and give a little relief.
Hello Moly
I have had EN sine I was 21. I am now 60. I go into spontaneous remission with bedrest and using an anti-embolism stocking helps. In 2003 I formed an EN Group on Yahoo. We have over 1700 members now--worldwide.
Please join us to compare notes and view our resources. We all know what you are experiencing.

Reading these is a bit worrying my 12 year old daughter has it for thr second time the first time wasnt so bad just one lump, at the moment she has about 7 over both legs and is waiting for blood tests I hope it isnt a life long condition for her.
I've had EN four times in my life and it has luckily not become chronic. First time I was about 10 years old, second time about 16, third time about 19 and last time I was 30. I am now 35 and am hoping there will be no reoccurence. Last time I had it was the most painful and widespread though, with large lesions on both legs and attacking one of the elbows too. Hope your daughter is feeling better now.
