so i was diagnosed yestersay with strep throat.. & prescribed erythromycin for it because i am allergic to penicillin.. well i have a huge phobia of pills and am scared that this pill will do something bad to me .. has anyone taken this pill? & how did you react to it?
have a read of leaflet with the meds and you should see any side effects or give your GP a quick call. Keep in mind we all react different so what may effect me will not bother you. Hope you get better soon
okay thanks. also.. ive taken erythromycin when i was younger in liquid form and am wondering if pills are different ? like if i didnt have any side effects with the liquid.. could i have a reaction to the pill form?
hi steph. i took that last year when i had strep and i wasnt responding to amoxicillin an had to get a Z PAK.. the only bad thing about the med for me was i had a strong sense of smell and certain smells made me sick but otherwise that cured my strep fast!! from now on ill only take a Z pak if it happens again
