Hi I have been taking esmya for almost a week but my bleeding seems to be progressively getting heavier. Has anyone else had this ?

Bit of background I have suffered with heavy bleeding for a number of years due to fibroids. I have bled non stop with big (and I mean big!) clots since beginning of February given noresthisterone which didn't stop the bleeding so have been started on esmya.

I found it took about 3 weeks for esmya to kick in and even then for the first few months I continued to bleed (even heavily although gradually it became lighter and eventually stopped). In total I was on esmya about 8 months before having a procedure to deal with my fibroid.

That is reassuring as I was worried it may not not be working.

I'm desperate for anything to work I'm just exhausted. Just so exhausted tired of constantly bleeding.

Hi yes I agree, it takes several weeks for the bleeding to slow and for the fibroids to begin to shrink so hang in there.
