Could I ask some advice on this please ..i have decided to give it ago as have had the worse 4 weeks of insomnia and anxiety ..its life changing and i.m barely functioning .I started the Estrogel yesterday im just wondering as im only 7 days away from a period should I start the ultrogestan now or next month ..thanks girls X
I'm curious...is this a medication? Your doctor didn't tell you how it should be taken? I would call him/her before I started taking it.

Hi kal. I'm on the sam hrt regimen you are starting & have been since april. it has been great for me: no more random tears, up & down mood, all day headaches, anxiety/panic attacks & sleep much much better too. started to feel the benefits after 2-3wks, & it has got better the longer i am on it. i am mentally back in control. i had no cycle when i started as bleeding was so irregular, so i had to create a cycle on my calendar! you apply the estrogel every night to upper arms or thighs (it describes exactly where to apply in the leaflet in the box it comes in), let it dry for a few mins. the utrogestan capsules i take days 15-26 of every 28day cycle. (i still have my womb so was told to only take them -2 capsules - for those days every month) its important to take them as they "oppose" the oestrogen. also make sure you leave a few hours after eating before taking the utrogestan capsules or they can make you feel a bit dizzy/weird. i take mine at bedtime, my doc said best time to take them as progesterone assists with sleep.
I'm not sure what to suggest to you about taking the utrogestan - i think you should perhaps ring doc & ask her when the 1st day of your 28day cycle would start from ie 1st day of period??(i'm not sure) once you know when actual day 1 of your cycle would be , it will be easy to count the days on your calendar & mark when you should take the utrogestan each month. x
