i wonder if anyone could give me advise..today I had my merina coil removed. I could not face having the insertion again. I felt great pain! I was on evorel with the coil..so both needed hormones. I now have the combined hrt patch. ( Evorel Conti). This I started today. Before I had to change my pAtches twice a week. Now on the Conti I am prescribed to change once a week. Looking up info on these patches ..it seems they are normally changed twice a week. Does anyone know why my g.p has changed me to once a week or use them like this themselves? I hope I have explained this o.k.. Please let me know if not ( I get ms fatigue cog fog!) thank you
Hello. All I can think is that your GP wants to introduce this slowly because you're right it's usually twice a week.
Thank you for your reply..so quickly. I wish I had asked this question at the time! I thought because my g.p said once a week change this was normal for the combined patch. Then I saw on the Internet ...change twice a week. Which I was doing with the coil and oestrogen only patch. I am just concerned I will feel symptoms because I am used to twice a week change? You could well get some menopausal symptoms jaybee and in your position if I did I'd be ringing my GP. Remember GP's aren't perfect, it could just be an oversight.
Thank you Matron. I will contact g.p. I know they are not perfect. (They know nothing about myMutliple sclerosis!) I did feel rushed in the appointment. And expected the g.p to tell me about my hrt treatment change ..as apparently it is her speciality. Thank you again
