Excessive Abdominal Noises for 1.5 Years

Background - 63 y.o. male - diagnosed with follicular NHL 13 years ago - no treatment to date.
No other health conditions. Have always had a really fast and sensitive GI transit system - certain foods trigger rush to bathroom, etc.

GI issues started on 1/1/19 after having steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Next day, started having way more intestinal noises that ever before. Gas/belching also. Went to GI doc several times and had various stool tests including parasites, celiac disease. All negative. Had an endoscopy in spring 2019 - showed some gastritis. GI doc advised against using any NSAIDS. Had a gall bladder ultrasound thinking it could be caused by sludge. Nothing found other than a slight fatty liver. Did not have CT scan as GI doc finalized on IBS and not emptying properly when defecating. Have not had CT scan since 2013 and try to avoid due to radiation. Oncologist doesn’t scan any more unless symptoms are present. Last visit to onc ( Feb 2019) - onc indicated if GI condition did not improve, scan might be necessary to see if a lymph node could be the culprit. I find that hard to believe as this literally happened overnight.

Fast forward to today - still having excessive intestinal/stomach noises. They have come and gone in intensity over the past 1.5 years. Noises seem to come from all areas of the GI system -
some rumbling, some squealing, some bubbling. OTC FD-Gard seems to help some.

Questions and opinions please -

Would a full comprehensive stool test be worth pursuing to see if there’s a parasite that’s gotten comfortable and is chronic ? What parasites should I be looking for ?

If a CT scan is done and shows nothing, where else to turn ? Seems really improbably that these excessive noises would just start one day unless they are related to the meal I had on 1/1/19.

Sorry for the long post and TIA for any advice.

when you had your stool test did you submit several samples from consecutive days? Some docs don’t know this but parasites can be missed and don’t shed with every bowel movement. I would request another round of tests. Also some parasites never shed and can only be found during endoscopy. Good luck..
