Experience with (US) Weil Foot & Ankle Institute's bunionectomy?

I've been tracking a discussion by a person who had a bilateral scarf bunionectomy at Weil and she has been sent back to work after two weeks.  No crutches, no cast.  Reading their web site it seems almost too good to be true.  They claim they have perfected special techniques that get you back into sport shoes within two weeks.

Has anyone else had experience with Weil here in the US, and if so, what were your symptoms and how did the healing process go for you?

Lindleyk- just wanted to let you know that the reason I chose weil foot and ankle(Dr.Amarantos to be exact) was because one of my co -workers had her bunions done there with Dr.Amarantos, one  foot at a time in 2007. And so far she has been very happy. She has no pains at all and her recovery was fast like mine too.

is this it?

The last one was about reviews...which was interesting.

I found this

....I am just wondering been on your feet so quick could cause more damage....be perfect if all goes well. See my feet feel great no pain but my bones are broken....so it takes time to heal properly

Yes, that's the site I've been reviewing.  I was just wondering if there truly is some 'secret sauce', or cases like simbacatz are simply outliers.  That's the conclusion I've come to after reading the reviews on the Weil site.  Even the testimonials on their site allude to the period of healing that seems to be the norm based on the input from the people on this site.  (and those reviews of the Des Moines site on Yelp.  Eeek.)

I'm thrilled for you, but also think that your case might be a bit outside of the norm.  All the best and may you continue to have a smooth recovery.
