External hemorrhoid options

Hi All,

I aam a 43 yo male and I have an external hemorrhoid. I have only had one other one in my life. I have had for almost 6 weeks and cant seem to get this down. The other one just deflated last year within 3 weeks. Any tips for getting this down ? I have tried ice and steroidal cream, diet change etc. I am now trying sitz baths. I have tried nurofen to. I saw a surgeon and they advised me it would eventually go down and to avoid surgery but its very annoying. suggestions welcome ?

i hit week 7 and i thkught it wouldnt shrink, but in the next few weeks i didnt shrink down almost completley. i ised ansuol, and an epsom salt bath with witch hazel every night
