hi Natalie. Welcome to the forum! you will find that you are definitely not alone. Everybody on here is dealing with anxiety, panic, etc.
Have you ever gone to counseling after your divorce? or for your anxiety? it really helps to talk to somebody else who can help you manage all of this. I actually do virtual counseling once a week and it works great! I feel so much better afterwards. Sometimes I think there’s not enough to talk about but I’m always surprised at how much help I get.
Divorce is a huge event in a persons life. I have been there also. Sometimes we don’t even realize how much underlying anxiety we have when we go through something like that. And then to have Covid hit makes everything worse.
one thing that I always remember is that everything going on right now such as anxiety, Covid etc. is just a snippet of time in our lives. Right now everything seems so overwhelming but one day I will look back on these days that were difficult. So will you.
All we can do right now is take one day at a time . don’t look and try to guess the future and don’t look back in time.
All we have is right now.
I was just like you. Panicking, feeling alone, not sleeping well and very anxious. and I’m talking pre-Covid. But then I started learning about anxiety, I started listening to talks on never giving up and taking care of myself. I learned that I was way stronger than I thought. I also learned that we have to be relentless in not allowing fear and negative thinking to control our lives! I started thinking about my kids and how they deserved me to be healthy and to be there for them!
I had to light the fire under my behind!
so gradually, little by little I got away from the pity party I always had for myself and became more of a fighter for myself.
I Learned that worry and fear are like being in a rocking chair. It keeps you busy but get you nowhere.
Dont waste your life doing this. It’s simply not worth it. Enjoy your child. this too shall pass.
Your child need you to be strong and he needs you to be a role model of how to deal with the ups and downs of life with strength!
A lot of us are lonely right now including myself, but I keep myself busy so that I stay mentally strong. I do FaceTime with my family and friends. I just won’t allow anxiety and fear to enter my mind. It’s a choice we make. you going to be OK . and you can do this!Think about getting some virtual counseling. We are here for you

Anxiety is a bit philosophical issues. People see it as a thing “plaguing” us, but in reality its the individual torturing themselves because they’re over-sensitized.

Real key is to welcome anxiety into your life as if it’s your best friend. Hug it, appreciate it, spend time with it. Only then will it begins to slowly dissipate. Another key point is to let go of all hurt and pain, that brought your to this.

For me, Bible helps.
