Extreme intestinal pain

Hello everyone. I hope someone can give me advice please.

Every now and then I get extreme intestinal pain on my lower left. When I mean extreme pain I mean when I almost cut off my thumb with a grinder that pain doesn't even come close to the intestinal pain. What would happen is I would start to get a slight pain on my lower left right around where my bowl is and it feels really hard there. Then I feel like I a bowl movement is coming so I head to the bathroom and sometimes the pain is so bad I can't even walk there and I don't even dare move. But when I do get to the bathroom it’s really hard for me to have a bowl movement and the whole time I have EXTREME pain the only way I can get a tiny bit of relieve is to grab hold of my belly and pull it away from me (I’m not over weight at all), I would rather get my thumb stitched put than go through that pain. So when I finally get to have a bowl movement I have to push really hard and through the whole thing I have pain. My bowl movement would consist of hard stool and then followed by watery diarrhea and as soon as I feel the hard stool is all out I have almost instant relieve from the pain but still some tenderness. This does not happen every time I have a bowl movement. It might be weeks in between normal non painful bowl movements that that I get these. There was a time where I had a few painful bowl movements in a row, but normally it’s one or two then I'm back to normal bowl non painful movements again.

I would see your GP as it could be an obstruction in your bowel especially with it feeling hard when you feel your stomach!

Thank you for the reply katz31. Yeah I probably should, its not so much my stomach that feels hard as its my colon. Looking at pictures now it looks somewhere in the region of the sigmoid colon, but an hour or so after I had the very painful bowl movement it feels normal again.

Hi, I agree with the others go and see your gp.

Hi stephaney28634. Yes I think I should see my gp. I remember there was one night where I even woke up because of pain and that never happens to me if I have pain.
