Okay I've never posted about this before but I wanted to know if I'm the only one. I've had vertigo attacks all my life since I was 8 months old. I'm 17 years old and have vertigo attacks lasting from 30minutes-2hours at least 4 times a month. So I'm just wondering has anyone else had vertigo all of their life? It's extremely rare in children and so far I'm the only one doctors have seen that has been diagnosed with it at such an early age and as severe. We are currently looking into surgery to correct it as it has taken my childhood away and has gotten more severe and painful over the years. Has anyone gotten any successful help with vertigo? Thank you for any feedback.
What diagnosis have you been given? (Vertigo is not a diagnosis).

If you are having surgery there must be a diagnosis of what is causing it. As the drs says, vertigo isnt a diagnosis. It is a term to describe symptoms, eg dizziness or whatever, not the Cause of why you feel this way.
